This page contains details on how to access the Symposium's secure website and join live sessions.

Instructions for delegates:

The Sainsbury Laboratory Symposium (SLS'20) is a fully online conference with a mix of video recordings and live talks, Q&As and poster sessions using two platforms - Zoom and Microsoft O365. Details on how invited delegates should access these platforms are below:

Access to the main SLS'20 site

You will receive an email from Kathy Grube saying that she has added you as a guest to the University of Cambridge with a link inviting you to register for the Sainsbury Laboratory Symposium Microsoft Teams site. Which account details you should use to register depends on the following:

  • If your institution email is hosted by Microsoft Exchange and you are already using Microsoft online (O365) services like MS Teams, then you will be able to use this same account to access the Sainsbury Laboratory Symposium website.
  • If your email is not hosted on Exchange and you are not using O365 applications like Microsoft Teams, you will need to create a Microsoft account with a password.

The email address you use to register for the conference site will be visible to other delegates. Please email Kathy kjg45@cam.ac.uk to discuss alternative arrangements if you do not want to use your work email address.

Access to the Zoom link for the conference

The talks and Q&A sessions will take place on Zoom. You will need to download the Zoom app and register via a link to sent to you by Elisabeth Burmeister. Once you registration is complete, you will receive a personalised Zoom link to use throughout the conference. Please complete your Zoom registration ahead of the conference.
