Sainsbury Laboratory

SLCU has an active outreach and engagement programme aimed at highlighting the importance of plant science research and discussing the work of the lab with diverse audiences. In response to popular demand we are pleased to make available our ever-expanding range of outreach resources to anyone wishing to use them under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA licence.

We will continue to develop and upload resources. For any queries regarding these materials, or if you have any suggestions for other materials we might be able to provide, please contact the Events and Outreach Manager.

Nicotiana benthamiana- a Workhorse for Biotechnology

This poster highlights the properties and uses of Nicotiana benthamiana, used extensively in a range of scientific contexts including the production of active ingredients in experimental treatments for Ebola.

 Research Images

The SLCU Flickr account makes scientific images, largely of micrography, available under a CC BY-NC-SA licence.

SLCU believes it has obtained the correct permissions for the use of imagery from external organisations in its outreach materials.  Please note that the permissions we have obtained relate solely to our own materials- should you wish to reuse an image from an external organisation (e.g. Kew Gardens) you must obtain separate permission from the relevant organisation.
