My research is focussed on molecular, cellular, tissue, and organismal responses driving plant growth and development in changing environments. Identifying the underlying mechanisms will reveal organizing principles in time and space that regulate plant growth dynamics. This understanding could provide the basis for engineering plants with high yields and climate resilience. The research questions are structured around a central theme that integrates hormonal and cytoskeletal dynamics with regulation of plant growth dynamics. An interdisciplinary approach combining quantitative cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, and computational modelling is used to test hypotheses at multiple levels.
