The Leica StretchP8 contains solid state lasers for imaging and time-lapse of whole plants, organs and tissues, together with mechanical perturbations using external devices mounted on the stage. The confocal supports single cell ablations and has the Lightning module that allows on-the-fly image processing to extract more information during scanning to give finer detail.
