Event overview

The very first of the Branching Out seminar series, organised by Sainsbury Laboratory's Emilio Aldorino and supported by the SLCU Society, will be held on the Friday 26 January at 13:00 in the SLCU Auditorium. The external speaker will be research scientist, presenter and author Lewis Dartnell, whose talk is titled 'Astrobiology and Science Writing'.

The talk will bridge his academic research in astrobiology (and a new project looking at how plants could be grown in Martian soil in pressurised greenhouses to help support human missions) and his outreach work and talking a bit about the role of science communication alongside work and the books that he has written.
